Eyelid Surgery

Revitalize your appearance and restore a youthful look to your eyes

Blepharoplasty, also known as eyelid surgery, is a cosmetic procedure that modifies the shape and structure of the upper and lower eyelids rejuvenating the appearance and gives you a refreshed look.
Over time, the skin loses more and more of its elasticity, and fine lines and wrinkles appear around the eyes. Blepharoplasty involves making incisions along the eyelids to remove or reposition excess fat, muscle, or skin which address concerns about drooping skin from your upper eyelids or puffiness under the eyes, creating a brighter and more alert appearance.

  • Consultation: A thorough consultation with our board-certified ophthalmic surgeon will be conducted. We will discuss your goals, medical history, and perform a detailed eye examination to determine if you're a suitable candidate for blepharoplasty.
  • Preparation: We will provide detailed pre-operative instructions, including stopping certain medications (like blood thinners) and avoiding smoking for a specific period. Blood tests or other evaluations may be required.
  • Anesthesia: Depending on the complexity of the procedure and your preference, blepharoplasty can be performed under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia.
  • The Procedure: Our surgeons use advanced techniques to achieve the desired results. Upper blepharoplasty involves removing excess skin and/or fat from the upper eyelid. Lower blepharoplasty may involve removing fat or redistributing it to address puffiness.
  • Recovery: Expect some swelling, bruising, and discomfort for a few days. Cold compresses and prescribed medications can help manage these symptoms which mostly go away after about a week.
  • Rest and Recuperation: Take time to rest and avoid strenuous activities while healing.
  • Results Expectations: You'll start to see visible improvements within a week or two, with full healing taking several weeks to months.

International Patients

What To Expect?

Before scheduling blepharoplasty, we offer a free teleconsultation service to educate you about treatment options. These consultations help you and your families understand the treatment better and provide a chance to ask questions or clear your doubts. The doctors are involved in the entire treatment process, from the pre-treatment phase to post-treatment care.

The discussion includes:

  • Your medical history.
  • Your surgeon will ask about previous surgeries, past or current conditions such as dry eyes, glaucoma, allergies, circulatory problems, thyroid problems and diabetes.
  • Your surgeon will also ask about your use of drugs, vitamins, herbal supplements and tobacco.
  • Your goals. A discussion of what you want from the surgery will help set the stage for a good outcome.

Your surgeon will discuss with you whether the procedure is likely to work well for you.

Once you are ready for the treatment, the surgeon addresses Blissed team and shares the details of the case with them. Blissed Team will contact you to set up a convenient date for the procedure and arrange your travel and accommodation based on the scheduled date. Also, The team will provide you a few instructions and guidelines for the pre-treatment phase.

On the day of surgery, you will receive local anesthesia to numb the site and surrounding areas, so you should not feel pain during the surgery, and you will return to your hotel that same day to relax and start your recovering Journey. Our surgeons make every effort to use small, concealed incisions to minimize scarring and downtime. Your recovery period will vary based on the type of surgery you undergo, but you can expect to resume normal activities within seven to ten days.
